Dear's 27th Birthday - 26 Jun 2011

Off we go to celebrate Dear's birthday at Sentosa. Planned this "surprise" hotel stay at Hard Rock Hotel and Universal Studio since 2 mths ago and really look forward to it. Thought of not letting her know that we are staying but clever her still managed to find out. BUT! she didn't know which hotel till that day when we collect the Voyage De La Vie tickets, I accidentally told her to deposit the bag at Hard Rock Hotel first, her reaction was "huh which hotel", stupid me still repeat it again then I thought OMG! now she know which hotel le :(
Overall hotel stay was great except the long/late check in due to room not ready since 12-3.20pm. By right the check in time should be 3pm so we waited till then but all I heard from the front desk is "sorry, room's not ready" I'm really quite piss off cos we are both tired and just want to get into the room for a short rest. I asked dear to take a seat first (cos she's the Shou Xin Po) & I stand infront of counter to give them pressure! Singaporean Ma! When you complain, you will see action taken immediately, which is so true. The manager went up personally to check why is the room taking so long to get ready. I waited around 15mins then he said its ready. Room no 0625, how great would it be if the room is 0626 cos that's her bday date & mth. I would say I loved the bed, the side bed, but no bath tub, sound system is great but if they could lower the base level, it will be better.
Instead of going to restaurant at Hard Rock Hotel, I chose the one at Festival Hotel, did some research beforehand. Glad I chose that :) After dinner, we proceed to watch Voyage De La Vie show, this is my first time seeing circus show but unlike what I thought, there's a story behind it. I have always loved musical & to see circus show combined with musical is really something different. Very interesting! I enjoyed it a lot. I will definitely go for this kind of show again.
Back to the room, finally managed to call the front desk to deliver the birthday cake that I pre-hand requested upon booking. But she still know there's a cake prepared for her. Really tried to do it secretly but we glued together eversince we checked in, totally no chance. Anyway happy that she liked the cake. Decided to rest early as tomorrow we are going to USS!!
