I can remember very clearly the first time I went Genting without any warning that the weather will be cold, freezing the moment I got out from the car. As it's supposed to be a touch and go trip before we depart to KL but Philip's cousin unwilling to leave after losing money therefore it became an almost 6hours trip in Genting.... just Casino alone. My dislike to Genting added on when I'm forced to take a nap at the hotel lobby and was woke up by the security as NO sleeping in lobby. Since then I told myself, NO MORE Genting ever till I'm with my dear. Knewing that she misses going Genting so I decided to change my mind on Never step in Genting to ok lah..
The whole trip was decided within 2 weeks and instead of two of us travelling, we asked Pipo along too. No actual itinerary was written, just a draft one by Dear before we depart. As planned, we departed at night, hopefully by the time we reached there, it's morning. As usual, the bus stopped a couple of times so we could eat (supper/breakfast?)use toilet but since it's late night/morning, we were sleeping soundly. The bus finally reached at 5am plus and the moment I stepped out of the bus, I was freezing like mad once again!! Although this time I was more prepared, wearing long sleeve and pants but the weather in Genting during night was unbearable. I have to drag my feet, walked against the wind to get to the hotel.
As advised by Dear, there's no need to book 2nights of room as it's morning by the time we reached but we decided to try our luck to see if we could check in earlier. Lady luck was on our side as we were given a number and check in could start at 6am. Without any time wasted, we wandered around the mall, nearby casino, free tour by Dear as this is the first time for Pipo and I. After 1hr, we decided to head back to Hotel to try our luck. I really have to comment the working attitude of Malaysian is terrible. Just 23 people ahead of us and it took us a waiting time of 2hrs. If this happens in Singapore, the emails would be flooded with complains. We finally get our room at almost 8.45am and after a quick wash up, we proceed to Dim Sum breakfast before heading to Dear's and Pipo favourite : Casino!
I wondered if age is catching up on me or I'm just purely feeling unwell/sleepy. I opt the second as after breakfast, I feel like vomitting and dear decided to let me go back to room to take a rest. Indeed, I felt so much better after 3hrs of sleep and dear came back to the room to pick me up and also to claim Pipo!! He's been playing jackpot (Zorro) since the time I went back to rest. But.. before we could claim him, after playing Zorro for awhile, I was hooked on myself!! An hour later, we decided to clear ourselves from Casino and head to the mall for a walk, grab some food. Knewing both of them are tired, we head back to room for a evening nap so we could continue throughout the night!! Lady luck continue to stay with us as Dear & I both won jackpot especially dear, who started off with S$20 and already won a major & minor jackpot after a while. I was so happy and proud of her. While energy was draining us out slowly, we head back to room around 4am and Pipo actually continue playing till 6am.
We had breakfast in the mall foodcourt and once again, we headed to the Casino but this time we played table games instead. Thanks to dear for giving me RM200 so started with no capital of my own, I managed to win a total of RM225!! All I could say this is my first time winning any kind of games and I quite enjoyed it!! Hopefully lady luck stay with me so the next time I go there again, I will Huat Ah!! And of course must Huat my dear first!!Labels: first-time, fun, genting, holiday
