32th Birthday Celebration

It's just 3 days after we are back from Tokyo trip and it's another half day for us as it's my BIG day! Been eating too much of "good food" in Tokyo therefore I told dear that it's okay for us to have a simple meal. However knowing her, how can have a simple meal for birthday! Glad that she brought me to "Song Fa Bak Kut Tei" for lunch first as it's a raining day and I suddenly have the crave to drink warm soup. As usual, I had the soup refilled many times but I'm surprised that dear drank more than me. Hahaha!
After the "simple" meal, we headed off to Vivo City. I realised it had been a long time since I went there but then nothing much too. (Hee hee) Clueless on what to do so we do what usual couples will do that is.. Movie time! As my birthday falls on a Thursday so there's new movies showing but none or the ones I'm really interested in are not out yet But luckily, there's a new Japanese movie called "Hotaru" and it's originally from a drama so we decided to watch that. Heng ah... it's really not too bad. But I'm still looking forward to "Resident Evil" which is out this week (from the point I'm writing this post) OK! Dear will be sian of me keep mentioning this movie. So I shall stop talking about it and continue my birthday blog.
This year dinner, Dear brought me a new place. No more Lawry cos it's already been used for her birthday :) I remembered her mentioning about going to another famous place where sell good steak. Yes I did wanted to bring her sometime later but who knows, she beat me once again. The place I'm talking about is "Morton The Steakhouse". Indeed another atas place but I prefer here than Lawry. The waiter and the place give me a "warm" feeling than Lawry. It's like I can be more myself over here, talk louder, ask more question (I can understand what the waiter is talking about), the menu is simpler to understand (hahaha). A little surprise when the waiter brought me to our table. My name and a birthday date is printed on the menu. First time I ever been to a restaurant and the menu is printed with my name. So happy!
The waiter gave us some suggestion on what to order and I'm quite satisified with it, especially the starter. Although it's costly but the serving and taste is real good and fresh. Thumbs up. But if I were to compare the steak, I think I will prefer Lawry. Perhaps like what Dear mentioned, it's a different body part so the texture is different too. Dear ordered the salmon and it appears to be a big server which she can't finished and I got to help her out with some. Last but not least, a surprised birthday cake. According to Dear, she made the reservation through phone and they read out all available cakes to her but knowing I don't eat cake, she chose one that does not have any chocolate or cream in it, that's "Key Lime Pie". Actually upon seeing the cake, I thought I will just blow the candle will do but seeing Dear putting so much effort for this dinner, I thought no harm trying it since there's no cream. Surprisingly, it taste nice. As I'm starting to enjoy lime juice so it taste something similiar. Well, the surprise didn't ends here.
The silly dear as usual prepared another gift for me afterall she said what's birthday without a birthday present. It's a photo album with all our recent trips. Thanks Dear! I loved it. I will keep it safe and secret with the previous one. Overall, I enjoyed this yr birthday celebration. Simple and sweet, especially no quarrelling.
