stepping into 2013...

almost a week after stepping into year 2013..
work. had managed to convert from a adecco contractor to a regular in ibm. was pretty big deal thing, because it is consider a two-level skip. im somehow thankful for this opportunity and this new role as a finance analyst, despite the fact that there is a great level of stress and standard i have for myself. i hope im able to cope in times to come, especially that im back to the days with conference calls at night. but i believe that in "no pain, no gain", afterall im paid to do all these.
fun. on the first day of the year, me and darling met up with her sis, bro in law and a couple frens and we clocked an exhibition - the art of brick, which is very similar to legoland, but no rides and definitely no rainy day. it exhibit mostly on large-scale sculptures made by lego, showing human emotions. not forgetting, celebrity faces made by lego and lastly, there is this six meter-long t-rex skeleton. and yesterday, we went to ding dang's concert at the indoor stadium. her power vocal just live up to expectation through out the entire concert. thumbs-up!
love. too bad i didnt get a chance to change a new gf in a new year, but that's not a bad thing afterall. met up with a fren today and went to some expo home living exhibition and then later to courts and ikea. made some silly calulations and pre-mature decision on what kind of furnitures we might need to get in the future. suddenly realised that it will really cost a big bomb making the purchases, and perhaps now i know why ppl tend to make installment plans for furishings. but even with 0% installment plans, the price we are paying at the end is much higher than the orginal price. pure dumb to choose installment plan after all.
putting the money concern aside, i realised darling is actually still staying in her lala land. she stay not fret over all these things. in fact, i began to get worried, very worried about the future. we have to start thinking what do we really want. what is the first option, second option or third option we have. hdb vs condo. staying for long vs investment. all these will eventually map the type of renovation and furnishing we might need.
