malacca - 23 & 24 march
Monday, 25 March 2013
this will marked the first retreat of year2013, however this is not a couple retreat, but a darling's frens & family retreat. destination - malacca. interesting fact is that me and darling went there before a couple of years (world cup 2010) back during the same date, but she travelled with her F5 gang, while I went with my ex. this time round, we are officially travelling on a couple status.
i reckon this was a pretty big group of travellers, totalling of 8 headcounts, 3 couples and 1 friend-duo. not much of arrangement as it was a rip-off from the shelves - some online deal that we had that comes with transport and accomdation. the only consideration was the food and point of attractions. but luckily, not much of a issue in this trip, all ended pleasantly.
one proud achivement of mine was to lead the way for the local famous food - malacca satay celup (lok lok) steamboat. it started where we took a pretty long travelling time to the one that darling's bro in law recommended, but only to find out that the queue smack at least a 60-75persons on the line, and we are hitting beyond the dinner time. seriously, i think everyone's hearts just sank with hunger pangs, and wobbly legs. so i decided to lead the way where we walked abit to the crowded junction, and i decided we should cab.
it was a do or die kinda of feeling, because i was hoping so that the driver can take all of us in (5 of us), and know the location i am trying to put across to him. luckily, with the lady luck beaming at me, we indeed reached the lok lok place that i went before, and settled for dinner. seriously, i cant imagine a malacca trip without lok lok steamboat, its like macaroon without its filing.
most importantly, in this trip, darling also have her fair share of malacca chendol that she had been craving to have..
